Last Dickson Mounds Museum Summer Program To Be Held July 25th

(Lewistown, IL) -- Dickson Mounds Museum is hosting a new summer program series for kids. Participants must be between 9 and 11 years of age. Those taking part in the program will paddle a voyageur canoe on Thompson Lake for The Summer Fun Friday program on July 25th. Kids will enjoy wildlife viewing and learn about the significance of the lake during ancient times. Registration is required with a deadline of Wednesday, July 23 at 12 p.m. Call the museum at 1-309-547-3721 to register. The fee is $3 for Illinois State Museum Society members and $5 for non-members. Participants must provide their own snacks and drinks and dress appropriately for the outdoors. The Summer Fun Friday Programs series has been offered every Friday since June 13th. This will be the last one and its from 10 in the morning until 11:30 a.m..
