New Playground In Peoria To Be Opened Friday

(Peoria, IL) -- The Pleasure Driveway and Park District of Peoria is holding a ceremony and ribbon cutting for the new playground at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park on Friday. The new playground was built as collaboration between the City of Peoria and the Park District. Southtown TIF funds were awarded by the City to design, purchase and install a new playground in the park, as well as to install a connecting sidewalk to provide a looped walking path around the park. The ceremony and ribbon cutting will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30.
