Lawmakers Gearing Up For Veto Session
(Springfield, IL) -- Lawmakers are finally out of campaign mode and planning to return to the capital city. They'll be in Springfield for veto session next week. There's talk that they may start moving a bill that'll increase the minimum wage to at least ten-bucks-an-hour. That's what Governor Quinn would like to see before he leaves office but lawmakers are split on the idea and incoming-Governor Bruce Rauner doesn't like it either. He says it'll be inappropriate for lawmakers to act on such significant policy issue before he's sworn in.
